George Owen is a classically-trained composer, orchestrator, arranger, cellist, and conductor from the South-West of England. He currently lives in South Wales. His works have been played across the UK and abroad by amateurs and professionals alike, and he has spent more than a decade performing on stage - whether it's cello, piano, or conducting.
George is seasoned and experienced and knows how to pull off a concert with aplomb. He is currently studying a PhD in Composition at the University of Bristol. He is a graduate of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (Distinction in MMus Orchestral Performance) and of the University of Bristol (First Class Honours in BA Music).
Owen Orchestration exists to supply high-quality music to a variety of classical music groups.
As a cellist, George has performed with Welsh National Opera, Ensemble Cambrica, SoundWorld Ensemble, and Shui Mo.
As a conductor, George has worked for two years with the Bristol Symphonia Society Symphony Orchestra, and is the founding conductor of the Cardiff Video Game Orchestra.
