Conducting

A Brief Overview

I have been conducting for over ten years. One of my proudest memories is performing Tchaikovsky's Sixth Symphony in Clifton Cathedral.

I take particular pride in my programming, and I am always looking for great pieces by lesser-known composers, and lesser-known works by great composers.

I love conducting ensembles of all sizes and abilities.

I began conducting a small but dedicated group of students at Wells Cathedral School in a performance of Bach's Brandenburg Concertos No. 4, 5, and 6; I followed this at Bristol University with performances of Nos. 1, 2, and 3.

In 2016 I was appointed conductor of Bristol University Chamber Orchestra, performing in St George's Bristol, Victoria Rooms, and Girona Cathedral.

Cardiff Video Game Orchestra (2024-present)

Cardiff Video Game Orchestra is an amateur orchestra that specialises in music from the small screen. We all have a passion for the genre, performing new arrangements and covers of music from the early 90s through to games released just last year. We've built up a dedicated fanbase in the city as we grow the orchestra. Check out our YouTube channel below - new videos are uploaded after each concert.

Bristol Symphonia Symphony Orchestra (2024-26)

Bristol Symphonia Symphony Orchestra is a semi-auditioned orchestra featuring some of the best musicians at the University. I conducted them for two years (2024-26) in a variety of concerts. All were recorded and can be found on YouTube. See our performance of Tchaikovsky's Sixth Symphony below, and click through to their YouTube channel to see more performances.
